Blog Reincarnation.

Hello All. My blog has barely been anything for it to have a reincarnation but I’ve decided to revamp it. Lately I’ve mainly been blogging about food and restaurant reviews from Mumbai but I’m going to try and expand that to more films, more books, more fashion, more music, more travel and inspiration in general.

Hope you tune in. Merci

Battle: Frozen Yogurt

It was the Summer of 2007 and it was love at first bite (kind of). I had heard a lot about this Pinkberry, a lot of celebs were frequenting it in New York and Los Angeles, so obviously I had to try. I had a first taste of it in NYC but it wasn’t until I moved to Los Angeles and lived near a Pinkberry that I fell truly, madly, deeply in love. I remember there were days when I went in the morning and evening, weeks when I went everyday and times when I even had pinkberry for lunch.

Then little Pinkberry clones started opening up everywhere — Yogurtland, Berri Good, Kiwi Bear etc etc. I tried and tested them but Pinkberry reigned supreme. Their breakfast service sadly ends at 11:00am, you must be an early bird to get some of it. I was especially excited about the waffles, eggs benedict and breakfast sandwiches.

The place is very cute., has a colorful, fun vibe with an open kitchen. We were very excited for the Eggs Benedict (they offer it 3 ways – ham, salmon and asparagus). But sadly our experience was not as great as it was with Miro. Maybe it was early in the morning? The waiter even snickered and asked us if we wanted bhurji when we described how we wanted our eggs to order (mushrooms and tomatoes scrambled with the eggs).

Chocolateria San Churro – A Little Bite of Spain

If you’ve read my blog at all, you know my love for everything Spanish. From Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz & Alejandro Sanz to Real Madrid & Barca to Tapas and Churros. I went to Spain in the Spring of 2006 and it was truly love at first sight.

So imagine my excitement when I heard that a CHURRO place has opened up in Bandra. Churros con chocolate, the traditional Spanish way are just heaven. I’ve had lots of bad Churros (read Xooro in Santa Monica, California) and I was hoping this would not be one.
